Brio Tuscan Grill

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Brio Tuscan Grill in The Woodlands for lunch with my wife, Laureen, my son, Brad and our very close family friend, Adam. Located right on the The Woodlands Waterway and just outside The Woodlands Mall, Brio Tuscan Grill is magnificently decorated and provides for a warm dining experience. Soft, faux painted walls, romanesque columns and a beautiful view of the Waterway create a backdrop reminiscent of Venice, American-style.

We each ordered from the lunch / brunch menu and despite the restaurant being very busy our food arrived quickly. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and very informative as we asked about several dishes on the menu. Bread was placed on our table which always brings back fond memories of dinner with my grandparents in Brooklyn, New York. We just didn't eat if the bread and my grandfather's knife was not placed right in front of his plate and his gallon of homemade wine wasn't sitting next to his chair! Fond memories for sure.

Our food was prepared perfectly. I had the mediterranean penne pasta which was prepared with sundried tomatoes, pine nuts, olive oil and just the right touch of garlic. My guests enjoyed chicken parmigiana with spaghetti, pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and an italian-style breakfast pannini served with fresh fruit.

All in all, our experience at Brio Tuscan Grill was very pleasant and enjoyed by all. We consider it a great place to dine and look forward to sharing a meal or two with friends and family again in the near future.
